Sportswriters' Luncheon held on May 4, 2009

Were you surprised when Smoltz and Glavine didn't retire at the same time as Greg Maddux?   When do you expect to see Tommy Hanson in the Atlanta Braves starting rotation?   These are but two of the questions asked of and answered by our guests at this year's Sportswriters' Luncheon.

David O'Brien, of the Atlanta Journal and Constitution and Mark Bowman of MLB.Com shared with attendees of the luncheon great insights into the team, the players and the game.   They also provided us with a better understanding of the demands of their profession.   What might appear to be the "ideal job" is in reality a demanding undertaking requiring many hours of labor.   Response from attendees was great with good thought provoking questions and equally thoughtful, honest replies.
