Braves players, those that were or could be considered rookies during the 2005 campaign, and who have spent all of their professional baseball careers in the Braves organization were honored at the 40th annual Eddie Glennon Gameboree held the evening of February 11, 2006
This magical evening, "Gameboree XL", began with a silent auction and cocktail reception at 5:30 P.M. The silent auction featured unique Braves memorabilia as well as memorabilia from other sports. Dinner and the evening's program followed the silent auction at approximately 7:15 P.M. In addition to the silent auction, raffle tickets were sold for a variety of baseball themed prizes that were awarded after the dinner.
The program was once again emceed by our good friend and Braves 400 Club supporter Pete Van Wieren. As he has done for previous programs, Pete introduced the recipients of the awards and added the occasional humorous story. If you missed this event, you missed an evening of fun and insight into the 2006 team as well as an opportunity to congratulate our great crop of rookies.
