Outfielder - David Justice (1989-96)

Above all else, David Justice is remembered as the man who hit the home run to give the Braves their lone World Championship of the Atlanta era.

In the bottom of the sixth inning of decisive Game 6 in the 1995 World Series, Justice hit a pitch from Cleveland reliever Jim Poole for a home run that stood up for a 1-0 victory.

Justice broke in as a regular first baseman in 1990 but got off to a slow start. When Dale Murphy was traded on Aug. 4, however, Justice moved to his natural position in right field and became the NL's hottest hitter over the last two months. He led all big league rookies with 28 hme runs and 78 RBIs to become the third Atlanta Brave to be named NL Rookie of the Year.

In the Braves' breakthrough 1991 season, Justice had one of the biggest hits, a game-winning, ninth-inning homoe run off Cincinnati's Rob Dibble on Oct. 1 that completed a comeback from a 6-0 deficit to a 7-6 victory in a "must-win" situation.

A two-time All-Star in Atlanta (1993-94), Justice had his best power season in 1993 (40 home runs, 120 RBIs). He holds the Atlanta record for most home runs by a left-handed hitter (160), and continues to be a productive hitter with the Yankees.
