The 44th Annual Eddie Glennon Gameboree will be on Saturday, February 13, 2010, at the Atlanta Marriott Perimeter Center off Hammond Dr. near Perimeter Mall.   There is plenty of free parking, and the Club has arranged for a "Valentine's Day Special" $79 rate with the Marriott, or a package that offers even more savings!   Click on the following link to make your   Marriott Hotel reservations.

Please note: we have moved the banquet this year from the Marriott Century Center to the Marriott Perimeter Center at 246 Perimeter Center Parkway, Atlanta, GA 30339, 770-394-6500. This is off the top-end perimeter near Perimeter Mall.

Our theme, “Great Atlanta Braves Pitching Staffs”, will feature some current and former Braves pitchers and guests recalling stories of great Braves pitching rotations.   Braves announcer Jim Powell will emcee the evening’s festivities.   RSVPs include Phil Niekro, Tommy Hanson, Kris Medlen, Charlie Leibrandt, and Braves minor league stars Jason Heyward, Craig Kimbrel, Greg Creek, Ryne Reynoso, Danville Braves manager Paul Runge, Georgia Tech star Luke Murton, and Metro-Atlanta High School Player of the Year Zack Wheeler from East Paulding High School.   This will be a fantastic fun-filled evening with many of our favorite Braves people sharing memories and laughs!

Former New York Yankee great Bobby Richardson will accept the Luke Appling Nostalgia Award.   Other awards include the Ivan Allen Jr. “Mr. Baseball” Award, outstanding performances by Braves minor leaguers, and the 2010 Phil Niekro College Scholarships being awarded to the Morehouse College and Georgia State baseball programs.

Come early and socialize with friends during the gala cocktail hour beginning at 5:30 P.M.   Browse unique Braves and sports memorabilia at our raffle and silent auction benefiting the Phil Niekro Scholarship Fund.

Dinner will follow upon completion of the silent auction at approximately 7:00 P.M., and the evening's program will begin following dinner.
